have you seen how the street racing boards got messed up? mostly cuz of STU and people argueing over him being import.
i like stu and had no problem with him, but he kept starting stuff with others, making those boards a mess! i mean a mess!! i was there for it all! he was put on probation and i am not saying to ban him. he does good by giving info on other cars out there, but he was by far more annoying than nick and them ever could be.

Stu is far less disruptive than those who attack him or imports in general. He provides a different opinion than those who simply say "V8>*!!" when someone asks whether their stock tbi 305 can beat that STi or EVO. He contributes quite a bit to the boards even though his personality is a bit abrasive. If you were personally attacked for posting information simply because you drive a different car then I'm certain you wouldn't appreciate it much either. After probation he has toned himself down quite a bit. If he continued to taunt the moderators and proclaim himself above the rules he would have been banned.

To those of you who were recently banned, and are now back. Do you think it's a mistake that you're back here? Since it's not magic, some discussion must've taken place to get you back. Maybe some of the powers that be felt you didn't deserve to be banned. Were those mods wrong? Now that you're back, will you do nothing but complain and start arguments?

I guess the bottom line that I'm trying to get at is that power or no power, mod or no mod, MOST of the members and MOST of the mods are not directly involved with this, and every little "werd" comment reminds the "rest" of us of all this crap.
If you guys really deserve to be here, then the Mods and our system did our job. I mean, you were banned, and now you're here, aren't you? Will this never end? Should you be re-banned? Will you rejoin under another name....and be banned again, only to join again?

You still don’t get it, Mark really is owed 10,000 posts… if he really wanted them. Vader and I are owed a bunch as well. As are MANY more members who have been here LONG before you or this particular reincarnation of the boards. This has happened before. I could care less if they ‘took’ mine away. My contributions are still there. At the end of the day I’ve still helped someone. Hell, I’ve tried locking my post count to 666 for kicks. Who gives a shït?

You must have missed some of the ‘good’ threads. Off the top of my head the few recent ones were the nut-hugging Accel guy spouting off, the guy who was telling people how to figure stroke et al incorrectly… oh yea, the dolt who told everyone to purge and fill their gas tank with acetylene before welding on it… I could find more, but you get the idea, the amount of mis-information perpetuated on this board is amazing. When I get the chance I'll see about getting your names back, when Dirk was doing maintenence and work on the search feature my access was taken away. But, your post numbers will not be restored in which will hopefully be a lesson that posting just to post and just to constantly agree with others is not the way it goes. It's not the important thing. It's post quality, not quantity.
You don't know how extremely fortunate you all are to be here again and you can thank that to a slip up or two behind the scenes because of a lack of communication. But, we all want you guys to make the best of it, stop the arguing, the useless posts, and become productive Members. Stopping the attitudes and arguing with my Mods would help alot too. Also, if you are going to continue to bash people from here on that board, don't post the link because it won't be staying. Why would we want to have that advertised on our site? If you guys intend on just using it as your BS/non-tech board, great, we don't care where you go for off-topic as long as it's not TGO, which is why we didn't care about the link before all this.
