Classified ad rules

I don't know if this has been addressed before. Can we please make it mandatory to post a location (State/Zip), price and pics in order to make a for sale post? It's seems like a logical idea to me.

Re: Classified ad rules

Making it a requirement to post a location has been suggested a few times and it can be done (atleast the state). I've added the list of the States to a drop-down field that users can select when posting a new thread at the beginning of the year. However, it appears some don't use it, so I suppose making it a requirement would fix that.

As far as prices, that is a requirement in the Cars For Sale section, but I don't think there is any written rule in the other Classifieds sections, and the same goes for the pictures.

Let me discuss with some of the staff.

Thanks.

Re: Classified ad rules

why should state matter? I know when Im looking for parts I don't care where they come from.

I guess it would make it a little easier to NOT look at an add if its from outa state.
Price has always been needed. Unless its posted as for trade or OBO.

I don't know if you are aiming this at Cars For Sale classifieds, too, in your post, but like JT said all except making it mandatory to post pics in the ad are currently enforced on that (Cars For Sale) board (though, perhaps, a few might accidentally pass by).

I know I am frequently reminding people of these rules on the Cars For Sale boards.

Best wishes to you.
