LT1's For Sale
Anyone know of any nice LT1's for sale in the Oklahoma City/Edmond area? Looking for one with under 100K miles, and would like it to be a Z28 but a Trans Am might work also. Thanks

I have an LT1, but I am in Dallas. The LT1 that I have is around ~15k miles, and is still in great shape, you can even see the factory honeing. The engine is a 9C1, which includes cast iron heads, valve covers, oil pan, roller rockers, cam. The whole engine is together, I did take off one head, and the oil pan to look at it, I can get it back together.
The engine is $280 for the engine and I also have other stuff available along with a friend of mine. Here is my list:
Aluminum Bare Heads: $300 (very clean)
Red Intake (LT1): $300 (includes TB, MAP sensor, and IAC motor)
Water Pump: $35 (needs to be cleaned up)
A friend of mine has the computer from a 96, if you are interested. Let me know and we can make a deal.
Why so cheap you ask? I started doing the LT1 swap, but I changed my mind in the middle, that is why I have everything; the good thing though, is that I was able to get everything for the prices that you see.

We might be able to make a deal. Do you have any parts for an 88 camaro, I need some interior and exterior pieces. Also, we could probably make a deal on the engine, feel free to pm me.

Damn man. You only want $300 for the complete LT1? Do you have the complete wiring harness and stuff? I might be interested! Do you have any pice? Also, what kind of parts do you need for your Camaro? I subscribe to the Austin F-Body mailing list, and I think there's a guy with some thirdgen camaro pieces.

I need 062 cast vortec heads, the tpi intake manifold, or a series 3 carrier for the 9-bolt rear end. I am also looking for a set of 3.45 gears for the 9-bolt rear.
As for the engine, a friend of mine has the harness and I can get it from him and give it to you. He also has a 96 computer. The engine was built in '96. The engine is a 9C1 LT1 engine, you can read more about it here: http://capricess.com/9c1/
Right now the engine would need a harmonic balancer, water pump, intake, harness, computer, opti-spark and sensors. I have a set of aluminum heads mentioned above, they are bare and ready for porting.
I started to build the LT1 up and get all of the parts, but I ran out of time, so it would be easier for me to do a Vortec build-up.

So you need Vortec heads and the vortec TPI base? or the regular base? And 3.45 gears? I'll see what the guy's got, I wouldn't hold my breath tho. lol
The LT1's out of a Caprice? It's a 350 right?
How much would ya want for the LT1, the computer and harness, and the water pump? Also where in Dallas are ya? Maybe I could take my friend's truck up there some weekend and pick up the LT1. Let me know, Thanks.

I need to get a hold of my friend for the wiring harness and the computer. The engine and the water pump are both mine.
The LT1 is out of the Caprice and the Fleetwood. Yes it is a 350, the only difference between the F-body and the Caprice LT1s are the heads and the cam.
I didn't care about the heads or the cam because I was going to do a hot cam kit and some aluminum heads like the fbody runs. I was also going to port the heads, this is the reason that they are bare.
The enigne is located in grapevine/colleyville area, close to the 114/121/26 hwy intersections.
One thing that I don't remember if I said was the factory honeing is still there, and these engines only have ~15k, which is why I picked one up.
These prices are what I paid for them, so as long as I get my money back, I'm happy with it.

Maroon, so you're asking about $315 for the engine and water pump? I don't need the aluminum heads, or the intake, I'll port the iron heads and possibly get a Super Ram. If you could find out how much the harness and computer would be, I'd appreciate it. E-mail me with a final price, and if I can swing it, I'll prob take a road trip up to Dallas in a few weeks.

Ok, I emailed you back. Just incase you don't get it...I talked to my friend and all that he has now is a computer. He just had it tested, and everything was fine. He wants $80, so for everything the price is $395.

Did you get to clean it up any yet?
Also, let me know if you need something in particular, I can get some good deals here and there.

Nah, I haven't gotten a chance to do much at all to it. I got a powdercoated intake..that's about it. I've been working 45 hours a week..so I've been kinda busy. I could use a wiring harness....and some accessories off a 'Vette LT1....for simplicity's sake. lol
