Thanks Steven. I think we'll be better off though making it Friday afternoon and going to Baytown. At least that was my original idea anyway.
Let me put it this way. I'm going to Baytown Friday night. Anyone else that wants to come, awesome

Yeah I didn't know that when I first suggested it, I thought Wolf Creek was right outside of the Beltway. I'll look around and see what I can find

Both of those parks look good. One suggestion, take down the maps at the top! might be scaring some people off because they think its so far away. I would think Roseland park would be the best, looks like its the cheapest. I'll see if I can find some park maps or something and see which looks the best from there. Nice work Steven, thanks.

Having been heavily involved in organizing the last 2 meets, I know what U are going through. Lot of time consuming details HUH?
This time I'm just gonna be one of the attendees/supporters. If this is what U come up with, I'm sure it will be fine with me. Just let me know when where, and I'll be there.
Be sure and do a thread for a "show of hands" of who will be attending, so U can do a who's bring food and how much thread, so there is enough. for anybody that shows up. Be sure and double check with HRP for that date that they are open and running and not having a "special" show that would prevent us from being able to make some passes. Also, if HRP is running their normal Sat night show--IE bracket racing--see what time that starts so anybody that wants to run brackets as well as match/grudge races may do so.
If this is gonna be our offical, "go all out" Winter gathering meet, then a flyer that could be downloaded and handed out to any and all 3rd gens that we see around town, would definately be advised and appreciated!

Craig, this one is going to be on Friday evening so that we can get to Street Night at HRP. Saturday night is the bracket racing and stuff. Also, I just double checked the HRP calender, it will be open that night.
Mike, no this isn't the Winter gathering as far as I know. I posted a while back that this is the only weekend I'll be home between now and Christmas and asked if anyone wanted to go to HRP. It has kinda grown into a mini gathering.
Since Mike brought it up though, maybe we could make this the big winter one? My only concern is that with it on Friday night, if anyone has to work (even though it is the day after Thanksgiving, it shouldn't be a problem, but still) they won't be able to make it to the gathering itself.

I'm good either way!
I'm there!
I just hope I get my 700R4 trans modified by then so it will make the 3/4 shift at WOT. I've got the part ordered and it's supposed to be a 5 min job (yeah right!) by dropping the pan not the valve body and changing out a plunger, so it will 3/4 at WOT and not downshift at WOT anymore. If not I won't be able to make any 1/4' passes, but I WILL BE THERE!!!

And Zap, I will start a food thread once we get this part ironed out, then I will make the website/flyer.

If you want to wait till Sunday to decide, my parents are going to run by both parks and take pictures for me (since I'm in Colorado). I think if we wait till then, we can make a better decision, although it won't really make that much a difference, they're only a couple miles apart from each other. I think we can go ahead and start the food thread and get working on that. Also, times look good to me.

Rudy, thanks for the offer, but I think we decided to go with a park thats closer to the track. Clear Lake Park is just a little too far south I think for most people. Perfect for me, but I don't think anyone else wants to do that much driving.

Also, to get to the park, easiest way is going to be to take I-10 East till you get to Highway 146 to Baytown, go south on 146 and go pretty much back the opposite way shown on the map from the park to the track.

Added a flyer on the web, and a printable word version as well. If you need it in another format let me know.

I'm still gonna try to make it. Since I wrecked it, my idle has been high it drinks gas like a friggin jet now. I haven't been able to find the cause yet. If I fix it before then, I'll be there.

looks like we're going to have a great turnout for this little meet. We just need to get a few more people to bring some food stuff. Anything you can bring would be helpful.

You really don't want drum breaks, plus 3rd gen rears are weak.
If you really want it, you have to ask walter, I gave it to him cause he helped me install the new rear.
