Nov 26th Meet - HELMET REQUIRED

As post in the other two threads, if you run faster than 14 seconds, you will be required to use a helmet.

Can people please post up if they have a helmet they can bring, so we can get a count of who will have one/need one.

I am thinking about buying one, found a pretty good deal Here, just don't know what size I need

Looks like I don't need the roll cage yet!

Here are the rules at HRP. RULES.

my brother and I will both have one, and I can probably get my hands on 2 more.

HRP is actually pretty lenient as far as helmets go. Doesn't matter what you run when you get there. Once you make a run, the lady at the end of the track checks your timeslip. If you run 13.99 or faster, she asks if you have a helmet. If you do, just have to show it to her, doesn't even matter if its on your head or not. If you don't have one, she'll tell you to get one or slow down, in which case revert to the above. I've gotten away with making a run with it in the back seat and moving it to the front seat when I pull up to the timeslip booth as it was too small. The track workers don't know or care what you run, so they won't bother you about having a helmet or not.

I'll have my helmet with me--will lend out if needed. (as long as U don't have a communicable dieseases!!! or use wheel bearing grease on your hair!!!)

U can buy cheap helmets all town over--any motorcycle shop or off road 3 or 4 wheeler shop, ETC.

The cheapest and biggest selection I know of is, Helmet Wharehouse in Pasadena--check the phone book! They have every helmet ever made in stock --all different sizes, shapes, colors, prices!

haha I read on that site that you have to have a driveshaft loop for 13.99 or faster. I don't, and I'm hoping for mid 13s. Where is the Hemlet Shop in padadena, in relation to San Jac? I don't know H-Town too well..

Don't worry about the driveshaft loop. I've probably made 50 passes there, all under 13.99, and they have never once looked under the hood or underneath the car. For test and tune, they don't really care unless you're running below 11's. Once you get into bracket racing and such, then they do a real tech inspection.

Damn, that **** sucks. Here at the track, the only thing required is you turn your emergency hazards on . No joke, we have no rules at our 1/4 mile. Only time rules apply is on saturday when the real trailer queen track cars come in, sunday is street cars night and you can run what ya brung.
