good taste man! I was looking at something very similar to these myself, need to do a few more things before I get around to rims though - stopping is always good, for example!
looks good, and I agree you might consider a power-coat combo, maybe black with some red inset somewhere, that would look sharp with your colors!

Polished lip with black spokes will definitely look clean. But if you really want to set yourself apart, I would powdercoat the whole thing black and then add a red pinstripe the whole way around just inside the lip. Nice

hehe, using my webhosting to show pictures of your car
I think the first link for the rims are cool. You might also want to look into anadizing instead of powercoat, it will give you more of a shine

Hey, maybe a stupid question, but these rims say "painted" in the SLP add. So I guess that means they are steel rims with some paint or coating applied right? It would either be silver or hyperblack paint applied I guess. The old SLP firehawk wheels from SLP were alloy wheels not painted I think. Those would look really good exccept they are not available. You can get Weld Prostar XPs, lightweight aluminum wheels in 16" and I think 17" too for like $160 to $200 each. They are similar to the prostar 96 series like in this photo (thats what I have on my car).
If you go with these I think the black spokes powdercoated and the silver exterior part like in the corvette photo would look nice

the wheels that you are looking at are what we have on the lt1... they look really nice compared to an all black wheel... the only problem we've ever had is that he cracked one when he hit a huge pothole... and accidently used some wheel cleaner that streaked one a tiny bit...
i think ryan picked them up on ebay for 440 shipped or something around that price all i remember is it was some business in florida...
edit: if you're wanting to get the silver ones powdercoated black with a silver lip... most places will not do that... we asked a ton of places to see about getting a wheel repaired and recoated... most wouldn't touch it because of the polished lip... so you'd probably be better off (and spend less money) if you just got them already powdercoated...
