Clean Kill?

Ran up to the corner to make a bank deposit and grab some lunch, and while waiting at a light, a new Mustang pulled up net to me and started making some noise. It sounded better than showroom, (how/why can u beer can a Mustang?) but it looked to have stock tires. it took off when the light changed--I didn't. I was going to turn left at the next light, but since there was nobody in front of us, I went straight--lined up next to him--light turned green--pulled him about a car length in first, he pulled back up even thru second, and I pulled him bout 1/2 a car length in third, and shut it down about 4500, (which I know from running the 1/8 mile at HMP, was right at 80mph) and hung a left on a back street.

He followed and we stopped for a second and talked thru the window (never got out of the cars)--he claimed he had to let out of it because there was a big pothole. I never saw it, but U know how Houston roads can be. Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't!

So, is that a clean kill?

He wanted to run again, but I didn't want to push my luck on the city/public streets--I went home!

Re: Clean Kill?

Sounds scotch free to me. Everybody has excuse after a race (especially mustang drivers) but that was a good call not to push your luck around the city streets. Nice kill to me.
