I don't know if I'd be for that.... NTTGA already has a monthy gathering, so unless we could come up with a different angle than they've got, it would seem to be a little bit of over kill.
Since this thread is still going. I will add in additional people that have replied a location. This way if there is a event in the area it will be easy to PM everyone.
Damon here in Irving, TX and also my neighbor "Pops" with his 89 red GTA also in Irving and we are both NTTGA members. Just now getting nicer to bring the cars out of winter storage!!
Living in Euless right now, thought I saw someone else from my area. No 3rd gen right now but I have loved a couple in the past and plan to love one in the future.
years ago i met some of nttga, and i think i've seen matt-hoffman, not sure if that the screen name, guy rolls a black z28 on tt2's. but other than that i've never met anyone.
just an update and reminder about the state gathering...
1 if you plan on going, go post on the gathering thread is you haven't
2. if you have already posted , please go back and state how many in your party are coming... we need to count butt and seats for the restaurant
right now the plan is to meet in hillsboro for a late morning b-fast, (because the ft worth guys won't want to go to dallas, and vice versa) once we hang in hillsboro for a little DFW fellowship we can hit the highway with the best 3rd gen caravan north Texas has ever seen!

I'm the one in Euless. Which part of Euless, we are south of 183.
Euless x 3...haha...where abouts? I am in the midway park area....off Ector and Midway. Don't have a thirdgen, but have a 3rd gen engine and versed in your ECMs. Its wrapped into a 5,500 lbs brick though. I noticed you did the EBL Flash on your car...I was one of the Beta testers on the EBL Classic. I have gone to a 4L60E and 7427 ECM now though.
if there's anybody on the ft worth side of the metroplex that is interested in having a little fun on saturday, my band is playing at the hays auto show (classic rock band)
small show, but I'm putting my car in it for kicks

I knew that place looked familiar! That's Hays Automotive in Fort Worth. They just put a transmission in a truck for me I saw they have a car show. How did I miss this
That's cool! Keith has been a friend of mine for over 20 years, and he's a great mechanic. if anybody needs a good trustworthy mechanic in the Ft worth area, please give him a try. They are on 377, just north of I20
anyone who really knows engines around arlington got some free time this coming week?
just swapped in a 389 and cant get it running right and im in way over my head. shoot me a pm.
id like to help but i dont know that much about it, I have done a 350 swap but had to get a friend to do the timing on it. So i dont think id be much help.
I know it's been mentioned on this thread, but I would like to encourage everbody who is in the DFW area to get involved with th NTTGA. it's a great group of people with regular meetings and some great knowledge about our cars
i joined on there not too long ago, but keep forgetting about it and the meetings. i guess i should make it to one one of these days since i finally got the car back on the road (sort of)
its all good, i got it running. turns out the dizzy was a few teeth off on the cam. its always something simple.
Yes simple but still just enough hassle to make you crazy.
I should have mine done this week. Engine number 3.
And they say 3 times a charm. I hope so. I cant keep pulling engines.
If this one doesnt work out I dont know what I will do.
new to the forum, but family has had a camaro since I was born, been working my way back into one of my own, hopefully before long I'll be driving my dream car, Near Denton here.
Since I figure that most people who are going to be lucky enough to attend have made their plans, we should do something in the DFW on a smaller scale. Unfortunately, I am a slave to my job and can hardly get loose. Out of respect for the statewide gathering I have been holding off on this. However, I have the ability for a local meet up and I don't think this would much interfere.
The TGO guys haven't had a meet up since January. It's way past due.
The decision was made last time that Sunday was the easiest day for a GTG and Arlington is a great central point. Let's stick to what works and do it again.
Bring what you got!! Daily Driver, Work In Progress, Show Queen, Primer Warrior, etc. Everyone is welcome and the food is cheap! It was awesome last time.

Jeff, I'd love to attend another TGO gathering, but you've scheduled that one directly in conflict with the NTTGA gathering, which is held the second sunday of every month. I suggest you either pick a new day, or just come join us in grapevine for the NTTGA meet. There's always great cars there and nice people
For any DFW person that is going to the Statewide gathering,....
we're meeting at the Braums in Hillsboro at 10:30, and pulling out for Georgetown by 11 to go down by caravan. just please let us know you're coming so we know how many to tell duke's to expect
