Hawks what did you run? Did you see me down there?
Hey No4NJunk,
I did see you, in fact I think my son and I took a picture of your car w/ an IROC, was that you? Bruce got a 12.8 out of the Z28, but I agree it was way too hot and humid for all the cars. Hope to see you at the next gathering, I wish we could have met.

I saw you guys there.
And I met Hawks too.

BTW- Hawks I won't be needing to order a new spoiler for the vert. I got a used one thru a friend for $100.

Can't complain about that sh!t.

It's good to know that you're getting parts for convertibles.

Year One had a complete 3-piece set for $720.

That's rape. I'll go used again before I buy from them.

I wouln't be able to make the get together Saturday. I bent a pushrod on number 7 intake valve and it took the top of the valve off when the rocker cam off the spring. So between that and dealing with the Insurance companies i'm pretty busy.

HAWKS
do you have the pics of darlington.... we would really like to see them.... you said that your son got a pic of mine and brian's car.... what where you running... brian and i had a blast.... i did not get to run what i know i can run.... brian and i worked on my car untill 2:30 the night before.... i had a horrable timing problem... we finally figured out that it was the msd distributor... that i had just got a week before... so we put the stock distributor back in..... it was the control module... after that my car ran fine but i dont think that my timing was right.... well my best run was a 15.027, and that was when my MAF senser unpluged
i know i should be in the mid to low 14's... but anyway.... if you could get those pics up that would be great

thanks michael

Exerlate, I will probably be selling my 600 carb that i have on the car now. Since i just got some new heads!! I replaced my 882s with some Holley Systemax 23* Aluminum Heads. There nice! Here's the specs on them:
63cc Chambers 175cc/64cc runners 2.02/1.6 valves there flow rating is 220/178. The great thing is I only paid $800 for them with Matts discount. I don't have the car all the way back together yet due to rain and still dealing with the insurance companies. I'm selling my old heads and my Edelbrock Valve springs, that have never been used, and still in the box a matter of fact. So if you know anybody that is interested let me know.

Hey Xceleratemaro does any of your parts cars have a good front end and headlight bar that you would be willing to sell? The insurance company is only giving me half the money to fix the car!! Congrats on Graduation man! Super Chevy was nice. I wish I ran into you. I saw bruce and Neil there. I picked up a set of the real thin spin tech mufflers.

Gator_Z28. What series of spin tech mufflers did you get? I know they have Pro shootouts and sportsman and a few others. Let us know how they sound once you get the car running again.
I have heard the spintechs on a few mustang but never on a camaro and they sound really good on a mustang. I think I am going to purchase a set of Pro Shootouts for my mustang when it's time for the exhaust.

92camaro, I got the cruiser series mufflers. I got those because there thin enough I shouldn't have any trouble scrapping them. I'm going to run side exit instead of turndowns this time. It will be a while before you hear them though i'm planning on parking the car for a while to do some stuff.

I'm up for a meet anytime!

I'm parking the car to fix some things and to build the engine up right and build the car up so that she can handle the engine. Like right now my stock clutch can't take it. I punched it Wed. in first doing 25 and the immediatley went to 6grand, but i didn't go anywhere! You could smell that clutch for a couple of hours after that. Also being a T-top car I want to reinforce her good. I also want to get rid of all the wires in the engine bay and a lot of other small stuff. I want to be able to pull the front end a good three feet off the ground we it comes back out.

Sounds like a good plan. I am helping a buddy right now on his 3rd gen. We are going to build some subframe connector for it in the next few weeks. So I am guessing you are in to drag racing since you want to pull the wheels 3ft. Well good luck with the car.

I know where an 89 RS is. V6 5 sp, red with black interior. The guy wants 2 grand. That is his bottom dollar. I was looking into doing a carb'd v8 swap but its too nice for that. Let me know if this interests you.

Hey Brian. Everything you need to know about room reservations is in this thread:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/show...hreadid=158061

The Hampton at Germantown called me and told me that NOBODY had reserved any rooms at that hotel so they released them all, so you're stuck with the going rate if you stay there. I'm at the Hampton Inn Frederick. I'm sure they still have rooms left, tell them you're with the Nationals group, but the hold date has passed there too so you'll probably have the going rate there too.

I'll be looking to leave sometime after the wife gets home from work which is sometime after 4.
