Man, come on out. We are all cool. The scfyb club is infact mostly all 4thgens, but the group i hang out from scfcb mingles w/ other people with other types of cars especially mustang guys to so its all good. Noone i hang out with is narrow minded at all. People in my click run 10s and some run 16s... Some of the members of scfyb on the other hand, i dont care for. Not like i see them ever anyway, only once a year at a shootout or whatever.. Just come to The old Circuit City Parking lot on Bush River on fri or sat night. Thats the 'spot' so to speak...

i dunno if i can make it, im still having issues with my car....the ecm didnt liek something i did with the head swa and wouldnt run right at all....even put it in the shop once to see if they could find it...of course they didnt...but i did it just to be sure i wasnt over looking something...they didnt even come close to finding the problem though......im thinking the air/fuel raaio was way too lean from the slightly moded chip and it just wasnt getting enough of what it needed. so i said screw it, got my afpr, and slapped my carb on there. did that yesterday....i figured , im gonna spend 500 + dollars to get this tbi running right, ...by the time it would have been running, every sensor and wire would have been replaced. so i spent the 150 on the afpr and a new electric choke since mine was broked on my edel 600...and started ripping crap out....still have minor bugs to work out...like hoe to get the choke to work...car was dieseling but i fixed that 15 mins ago...still may have an oil leak from some mystery spot near the firewall...hard to see.....replaced the intake manifold gaskets 3 times , gotton 3 different types of valve cover gaskets, and even new valve covers...oh well....was a good excuse to get new shiney ones

Wow, I told jared the other night to get you and come over, In my Ground Zero club, Ive got a good friend of mine, who has bout 30 years as an asce certified mechanic, he helped me build my motor, and we would look at what we could for ya and check it out. I would love to see what the car looks like up close and in the light, night doesnt always permit the best evaluations.
I love the third gen cars, so im always willing to help a fellow third genner out. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you about the car.

Im also looking for misc. parts for my third gen that i wanna get chromed and I heard that you may have a parts car that you are not using all the parts off of.. hehe.. perhaps i can barter something off of you.

Darlington? where's that? Oh! isn't that where they used to have that big race on Labor Day weekend? Just kidding, man. I'm originally from Timmonsville, live in Conway now. Used to hang out at the Southland Gunworks across from the race track. A friend of mine runs Simon's welding shop.

No that wasnt me, I have a plain white 5-speed 305 with t-tops. That would be cool if there was a thirdgen club in the area. I just met a guy with a 86 IROC-Z that also seemed interested. BTW, his 86 has a 2001 Corvette LS1 in it!. I almost **** myself when he popped the hood. Now if only I could do something with my 305 lol.

- Mike

Edit: Also, he mentioned that he dyno'ed 380 rwhp (its not stock)

there is a good bit of us 3rd gens in sumter, I have had a few people come up to me and start talking about there cars, at gas stations and what not... so I am pretty sure it wouldln't be too hard to find members here. I would like to get some third gen stickers for my car, so that it will help advertise us.. anyone know how to get ahold of any??? or designs stickers?? I am quitin' my job this summer, so I wont be doing my 350 swap, I will start usc sumter next fall, then transfere up to usc columbia once my gpa is high enough.
