Paint job needed in Alabama
Does anyone know of any good places to get a paint job in the Birmingham area? I'm not looking to spend $3000. Everywhere I look that seems to be the rate I'm quoted.
I know I can't get a show room finish for $500. I'm not really looking for a show room finish. I'm also willing to go way over $500. Does anyone know a decent place to get a decent paintjob for around $1000 to $1500?

Try Wilson's Paint & Body in Calera or Columbiana. I have seen their work on several cars and it was very good. They also have very good prices. So far its one of the best paint jobs for the money that I have seen. You will get a professional job in the $1500 range.
I had mine done at 3D Body Shop in West Blockton. His jobs start at $900 and go up from there depending on what extras you want (i.e. door jams, etc.). I got a pretty decent paint job - especially for what I paid.
Either one will give you a pretty good "bang for the buck."
Here's a pic of my car to give you an idea of the paint job I receievd.

Brian, don't forget to tell him about the BFBA!
SteveM check out:

Also, if inexpensive is what you are after, try Peach in Roebuck (a couple of doors down from Roebuck Honda on Gadsden Hwy). I've had two cars painted there and both turned out very decent. Just make sure you get their best package. I can also vouch for 9T1 Z-28's ride, very nice paint job.
Whatever you do avoid -
Birmingham Auto & Truck Painting (bad work)
Mark Lang Collision (crooked as the day is long)
