Ok, it's official, Iroc isn't going to make it. I'm back to my overheating issues, so obviously it wasn't an engine problem before. I replaced the radiator (twice since the first one was crushed in the box, 45 mins later I was back with a new one) and the problem only slightly improved. Still goes past 200 with a 160 thermostat. When I get back in town I'm putting the stock fans back on. These aftermarket LS1 fans don't impress me at all. I can instantly cool the car to 170 degrees by spraying water on the radiator. Have fun at the gathering guys..

that sucks steve could you wire the fans to come on when your key is on thats how some one did my car that way and it stays at 160 never moves and in the winter its colder.

those of you interested in msd wires and new washer and coolant bottles bring some money the wires are used but still in great shape. The bottles are the wrong ones for my car they are for the older third gens.

thanks to the tropical storm fizzling looks like clear sky's and sunny on Sunday... if it stays that way i'll be there. just washed and detailed the chopper for a ride tomorrow, hopefully i'll have enough time to wash and wax my car when i get home tomorrow.

ive been down this road also this summer. i changed it all out and got little to no improvement. i finally cut the converter off and problem solved. doesnt even offer to run hot. maybe this will help you

hmmm bring the chopper or the vert..... i'll be at the crestview location with a cooler of mountain dew between 9:30-9:45..... just washed waxed and detailed my Camaro. need to go back over it in the morning with microfibre, vaccuum, clean and rain-x the windows, gas up and get ice for the cooler.

great meet , met lots of good/new people . always a pleasure to meet other fellow 3rd genners . several projects in work (hell mine will never be done) and several (like mine) that looked done . swapped stories and ideas , great social gathering . thanks to all for showing up . our club had many no shows , but all the hard cores as usual showed up . hope all enjoyed as much as i did . (hell at my age i enjoy every good time) i think rob from tally traveled the most . to all who did not attend you missed out . cheers & thanks all .


P.S. kurt i am still drooling over your B4C wich has to be the cleanest/original in the country . keep it that way . take care when sent back to the "dirty/sweaty armpit" of the world .

Rob it was cool meeting you, and seeing a very fine example of what a GTA should look like. I think i can speak for us all we are very jealous of kurts B4C camaro. Guys i have the video up as our cars were lined up nuthing special but i didnt take any photos so i took a quick video of the cars. Sorry 92firebird 305 you were gone when i took it some had thought you left. And your car is not horrible compared to other third gens and for the price you paid id say you got moneys worth.

well i just went to pc and get a drivers fender im gonna go there 2morrow and get the other fender there both white in great order the get them ready for paint and get my doors fixed then gonna get it painted sand and primer the whole car fix the t-tops first

While I have everyone from the area checking this thread.. there is an 'end of summer' car show here in PC in about two weeks. They will have a dyno, $40 to get on it, in case anyone is interested. Hoping I will be there for that, but depends on how my car is behaving. So far she is being a very naughty gal.
