Need Help ASAP

well as some of you know i love my third gens, well i finally got my roommate into them also. well cut the story short, he went and looked at this 86 camaro, 2.8fi auto, nice inside and out other then the retarted AEM intake on the poor thing.

picked it up without me looking at it or driving it. paid $1k, gave the guy the check, etc etc, was on the way to work, started to get a knock, he just got home tonight, its got a VERY terminal rod knock.

im looking for someone in the avondale area who could help us if we cant get the car back to the previous owner who swears it had nothing wrong other then a valve ticking.

if we cant get it back to them then we need to find a greatful person who could ether help us find a new motor for it, and/or put it in at their place since we live in an apartment.

if you can help please post, e-mail or call me, my name is shean (shawn).

Thanks Again,
Shean

well to tell you the truth, we want to just keep the 2.8, not switch out to a V8, this way we can re-use all the stuff on the engine on there now like a/c etc.

i took out my LG4 in my 83 Z28 and built a 355 for it.

i know my thirdgens and im trying to now find a 90-92 Z28 305 TPI orTBI with a 5sp and t-tops.

anyways, thanks,

Shean
