If I can get the drive shaft shortened in time and get a new clutch plate maybe even pressure plate I will be able to bring the 88 to the BBQ.

What the heck did you do, Dwayne? Yes, they can be rebuilt if its just the disc surface, and not the disc itself.

Remember to bring your tranny down here with you.

It may have happened when I had to drive it on the trailer in 4th gear when I blew the first tranny. Although I did drive it for another 500 miles or more after that with out any slippage. Good thing I caught it in time.
I can't get the disc rebuilt and back in time
Hopefully I'll be there in the 88. It'll be close.

The tranny is out and drained and I'll clean it today.
