My fave is excuse is similar to that. I understand shifts can be missed, sometimes "long shift" or "short shift" doesn't always go as planned.
BUT it never ends--" IF I had my NOX on"..."Let me get my turbo'd ___".
And the ever popular " I just wanted to see how good YOU could hang with ME"

About a year ago I had an evo rev me up at a light in Downey at Imperial and Bellflower. Poor guy just kept revving me up at the light would not let it go. Finally I put her in neutral and revved poor guy nearly (blanked) his pants. That wasnt the fun part. It was the '03 chevy silverado honking his horn laughing at the evo. Ha nothing like the sound a third gen to put people in ther place.

Re: when ricers cry..
I don't know what gives but I can barely count on one hand how many times anything (rice or domestic) has EVER tried to race me. Mind you, the paint on my cars are pretty good but under the hood it's nothing but GM (for now). Maybe it's because down here in south OC all the sheriffs do is play DMV with a gun. That also is why I never race around here.

But after 2 street racing tickets... not so much anymore. I save it for the Track.

Re: when ricers cry..
I mainly have people race me in their SUV's!
Maybe it's because I look old.
Mainly on the freeway... of course.
I'm doing 80 and they come up beside me.
I look at them, return the smile, and LEAVE!
I find a few who are dumb enough to play cat and mouse.
Those are always fun.
I like playing that game on the Vegas run.
No cops!

So you're one of those courteous drivers that insists on driving in the left lane and wont move. You do realize the left lane is supposed to be used as a passing lane

Re: when ricers cry..
im saying if im doing 80 which no one should be doing faster and you feel like tailgating me for 45mins then absolutely
if your in the fastlane thats exactly what it is why do you need to pass somebody doing 80?

Re: when ricers cry..
Had that as well but my encounter was more honorable, other than them (3 of them) boxing me in one night to try and get me to pass. They did this about 3 times, I'm not really ready to hammer on my car yet as it's still the stock/original tranny and pumpkin behind my new 385 fastburn. I know it's going to let go at some point, so I baby it most of the time.
Long story short I gave them a few pops, not taking very long to get from 100 to 140km/hr and leaving them quite a bit behind me. After they each had their turn they honked, waved, and drove off.
We also have anti-street racing laws here, and there is no WAY I'm going 50 over the limit or dart in and out of traffic. This was 3am and we were the only ones on the road. Any other time of day or anyone else around I would have done nothing.
On a related note 3 imports racing northbound on the 400 causing a truck driver to swerve off the road, killing himself to save others, had one of them sent back to India because they were sentanced to more than 2 years in prison (if I remember right).

What kills me is the denial from the girlfriend that he did nothing wrong when it was witnessed that all 3 were playing tag.

42-month sentence in street-racing death
Gail Swainson
Urban Affairs Reporter
Published On Fri Dec 4 2009
http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/arti...t-racing-death
A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 42 months in jail for his role in a high-speed street racing accident on Highway 400 that left an Innisfil truck driver dead and his family "overwhelmed with grief."
"No one is a winner, it is a tragedy for everybody," Justice Bruce Glasstold Ravi Badhwar after handing down his ruling Thursday. Badhwar, who has maintained his innocence throughout, shook his head when asked if he had anything to say before being led away in handcuffs.
In October, a jury found Badhwar guilty of criminal negligence causing death by street racing and failing to remain at the scene of a fatal accident in the June 2007 death of David Virgoe.
Glass sentenced Badhwar to 30 months on the criminal negligence conviction and 12 months for failing to remain, both sentences to be served consecutively.
Badhwar will spend 37 months in jail after receiving five months credit for some two months already spent in custody. The Mississauga student faces automatic deportation to his native India, with no chance of appeal, after serving out his sentence.
The other two drivers involved, Nauman Nusrat, 21, and Prab Multani, 22, both of Etobicoke, earlier pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing causing death by street racing and were each sentenced to 30 months. Nusrat also received a lifetime driving ban.
Court was told the men's three vehicles were weaving in and out of traffic for some 44 km along Highway 400 northbound at speeds of up to 200 km/h.
Just south of Highway 89, Nusrat, then 19, lost control of his Pontiac Grand Am, fishtailed and struck a Jeep, setting off a chain reaction of collisions. Virgoe swerved to avoid hitting other vehicles after he was struck and his big rig careened across the highway, hit a ditch and flipped, killing the 48-year-old instantly.
Court heard that Badhwar left the scene of the accident, which "flies in the face of his obligation to remain and assist," Glass said in his ruling..
Outside the courtroom, Virgoe's wife Debbie said she is "glad the ordeal is over.
"Like the judge said, nobody wins," said Debbie Virgoe. "We have four families here that have been completely destroyed."
Shweta Tiwari, Badhwar's girlfriend, said that he had nothing directly to do with causing the accident and therefore should not have been found guilty. She said that because Badhwarwill be deported, his plans to study accounting at Ryerson and help his family in India now lay in tatters.
"This has just ruined his life," Tiwari said." They're making it look like he killed somebody and he didn't."
But Glass said in his ruling that the three drivers "acted in concert"as they raced across lanes at high speeds. Furthermore, Badhwar has shown no mitigating remorse for his actions that day, Glass added.
This is in stark contrast to Nusrat, who after pleading guilty last year told the court: "I am ashamed and embarrassed. I call myself a murderer, a sinner."
In his ruling, Glass said that the three were "playing a form of road tag" on the highway. "The death of David Virgoe resulted from street racing on a major highway," Glass said in his sentencing decision. "They drove in a reckless manner for 44 km."
Badhwar sat with his head bowed as Glass recounted the devastating affectVirgoe's untimely death has had on his wife, daughter, parents and siblings.
An investigation showed that Virgoe's emergency manoeuvres prevented more crashes, said the OPP after the accident. After losing control in the northbound lanes, Virgoe hit the guard rail in he median then swerved back into the northbound lanes to avoid slamming into southbound traffic.

If the lane to the right does not permit, then drive in the fast lane til it does.
Stay in the fast lane blocking people? Oh, I love guys like you when I am in my Vette (very rare occations, but fun times) I drop in in second gear, a little blip of the throttle up in front of you, clutch it and brake check your *** from 90 down to 50 and you sh*t your pants while I rev and engage and lay rubber right back to 90 in about 3 seconds as you go sideways in a panic right into the frikin barrier.
You screw with people clown, ands some day a person like me with the right car and skills will screw you back.

You'd just LOVE driving in the greater Toronto area then hehe, it's unbelievable what I see on the roads every single day. And I'm sure other folks from the area will attest to that. A bit of a harsh response but I get your drift.

I have a fourth gen. The only import that looked over at me and wanted a race (besides a Volvo at 2AM that does 0-60 in 9 seconds) was a pearl white twin turbo Supra...
For some reason most of them are intimidated? That or they think "it's just a V6".

I kinda got out of them... first one (misdemeanor) I was offered to take a diversion program, so I did... then the 2nd one (Felony) I was fighting, and ended up having the court suspend my license for 6 months... No fines, and no points on my record. Both cases were dropped as well. You need to know your ways around the laws.

"Whatever you do to your car I'll do to mine, and I'll still win".
But besides that I feel I'm the only one that gets beat here. I rarely have a win with all the car I come across.I barely beat a New Infiniti FX35, but those things are 303hp stock. And the other week I got worked by a newer Civic si. His car was done up though. I guess its just where I live. Most of the cars around here are G35's and 3 series BMW's or I'm just that slow.

Back in the early 90's i had a '74 mustang II with a 302 that leaked oil like crazy. I was coming home and stopped in Boone and had to add 3 quartz because it was low. The car was not meant to have that big of an engine. The car was not a good handling car either.
Coming down the mountain I had a Feiro pass me and rev the engine. I was not doing the speed limit by no means. So I did what any bullhead would do and kept him the the left lane. All the way down the mountain I would pull him then slow down. It was so funny he just had no clue those are not sports cars! When I got to the bottom of the montain I had to add 4 1/2 quarts of oil I ran it so hard. But I still beat the turd.
Just last year I was sitting at the stop light and about 4 lawnmowers pulled up beside me. Of course they have to sit there and rev the engine like a dumbass. I just sit there light turns green and I nail it and all they car here is my Borla exhaust growling. I barked them in 2nd and 3rd and pulled them a couple cars. Next light turns red they didn't do a thing.
I cannot understand why they are proud of a car that sounds like a weedeater. And why anyone would drag race a front wheeldrive.

Great reads.
On a similar, but side note: I'd love weird Al or someone to do a parady on "When Ricers Cry" but to the music of an old song by Prince "When Doves Cry".
LoL...

Re: when ricers cry..
I don't find cars ugly, only the choice of style of the owner.
A Sub is one of my favorite cars, I see alot of potential there and would love to own one so my Camaro can be a delicate flower and only drive it in the summer.
As for the thread, There are alot of ricers over here but most just seemed to be owned by mid to late 20's mexicans and just dont seem like they want to bother anyone. Keep in mind im also mexican but there is a few ***** cars around here owned by people around my age and their always the most retarded. Never raced one, I haven't even raced that much in general, only a few times which include up against a Honda/Toyota Tacoma and a 04-05 Silverado that were being impatient as hell and blocking off a bus to get through and tried getting by me. They learned their lesson.
