Sweet dreams Vincent. That SuperRam looks like it might flow some serious air. That is quite a porting job. By the way you better start counting sheep as my Yank PT-4000 torque converter arrived today. That should be a prefect match to my new motor.

Vince,

Your motor / intake looks very nice, I'm sure it'll be a great performer.

My only night nightmare lately has been about my lil' 350 sucking the fuel tank inside-out

Looking forward to the next dyno day, track day, and to emissions inspection in October

Bill

The one word post, and just the typed word can sometimes not give the whole story or the actual thoughts of an individual when given... This is similar to textin' to one another.. There can be confusion @ times in the translation of whut a person is tryin to express.. In those typed words...

So I understand Mikes position on that subject, and would eliminate confusion and/or other mis-communications...

Yo, Vince!

I dig your set-up... Looks good. I'm slowly(@ a turtle pace! lol!) goin' to get to my end result (before hell freeze's ova!). So one day I can snif the list on the other board.. Good Luck wit the project.

Dude, are you serious with this? You are the last person that should be talking about spelling or grammar. My native language is English, not Spanish whereas I have a sneaky suspicion that your situation might be the exact opposite of mine and I’ll be the first to tell you that I don’t have command of the written word in Spanish. The only reason I answered you in Spanish was to prove a point. That point being that you can’t have an edge on me no matter what language you attempt to use.

Pobre guey… My ‘little man’ reference was a metaphor in reference to your general lack of life experience, lack of command of the written word, and your blatant inability to not only comprehend but tactfully respond to my posts. It had absolutely nothing to do with your physical height. Even at 6’ 2” you are a mental midget in comparison. I am not insulting you; I am merely stating a fact that is based on the content of your many many posts. Again, this is strictly based on what you have written on TGO. I have never met you in person so there is no way for me to know if my assessment stands true in person. Ok, now let’s tackle the ‘dance’ reference. Again another metaphor… ‘Dance’ as in the exchange of words between you and I. I hope this clears everything up for you. Tony, stop embarrassing yourself. Let it go buddy...

I get the Saturday thing… However we have a huge meet this Sunday in Irvine that you guys could come to. Tell your boy to hit Pep Boys and pick up some coil spring spacers for about $20 and that will lift the front end just enough to keep the oil pan from scraping the road. They can be installed with a simple floor jack and a flat head screwdriver in about 5-10 mins per side. You guys have some great looking cars and it would be nice to have some additional third gen representation.

Yeah, real nice engine - orange w/black valve covers and no name heads.
At least you could clean up the front pulley or do the rest of the accessories match the pulley.

What name brand the heads/valve covers/pulleys are do not make the dyno needles swing. Get the guts right, external stuff can be swapped out later if the fashion police bust you too badly...

Re: Your worse nightmare is home now.......

RAUL! Long time playboy!!! I just playing with Chente… I hate to admit it but yeah he can drive. I remember the day it was James, you, Vince, and I at Fontana dialing in your TA and Jimmy’s Z28. That was the day that your shift **** flew off while Vince was making a pass. Anyone else would have freaked out and shut it down. Not Vince, he stayed in it and if my memory serves right that was the best pass of the night! LOL, man that was awesome!

Speaking of Don being nervous… I still have the time slip when he got a 3.0 60’ to my 1.6. Some people say that he blew the tires off on purpose because he didn’t want to risk losing to team bunny. Others say that I got in his head so bad before we lined up that he just plain blew his wad. Whatever the case, we had a blast that night. Besides… whoever heard of a professional drag racer laying down a 3.0 60’ anyway!? Love you Don!

Please… I red lit on almost everyone that I lined up with in Jimmy's car. I will tell you now like I told you then. When I/we am/are data logging the last thing I care about is cutting a light. All I/we cared about was 60’, 1/8th ET, 1/8th MPH, 1000’, ¼, and MPH. We were there to tune utilizing the 1320’ that was provided to us not run brackets. Now, if we were running brackets it would have been a different story.

I liked the stuff that turned silver when you drug you teeth across it.
I also liked making silver coins shine with that silver stuff that rolls around in little *****.

That engine has been out of my old 86 Z28 for 2 years. Now it is in the 90 IROC(your old car).

Vince, STOP you're killing me!!! I'm think a more realistic number would be 360-370HP...

I beg to differ my fellow compadre. you probably missed the CHEVROLET valve covers. those should be good for an extra 20hp. so that should put him at 380 to 390hp.

Right now it is running off of Don's chip. The 280XFI cam has a mild lope and it's quiet through the Hooker Maxi Flow muffler. I had to test it one time and it pulls smooth and hard up to 6400rpms. It will be ready for dyno day.

Re: Your worse nightmare is home now.......

Vincent,
Where is your idle set? Sounds a touch high (higher than factory anyway) or is that a cold idle? Makes me want to step up to the 280 over the 268.

Really, what tune are you running? I would imagine that setup would be to much for a stock tune. Especially thats its not a maf car.
