Time attack... no... F1 practice :)
Went to Grand Junction, CO... awesome town. I plan on moving there... anyway, hit up the track in a Rotax kart. First few laps were terrifying.. these things are fast.
Great practice for time attack, you REALLY have to be smooth in your inputs - especially braking. 75 mph in a kart is one hell of a rush. Anyway, just wanted to share a good way to work on the "driver mod" for time attack

Wow looks like fun
I went to K1 racing a while back I didn't know how fast these karts were that my phone came out and broke (still work eventhough it was in 10pieces )

It was scary until my mind sped up to catch up with what the kart was doing The thing will launch you into a violent 60+ mph spin if you aren't careful. I didn't post that video
Awesome practice though.

Some years ago I worked with a avid autox racer and he would always hit the kart track fri night before the autox.
When we lived in Santa Maria there was a big kart crowd up there. They raced on the old runway. I thought about it as I had a 250cc 5 speed motorcycle engine lying around, then I saw these guys with a dozen diff compound tires a foot high stack of final drive gears and knew I would never get that involved in it and if I didn't there was now way to ever run in the top 5 or 10.

Nick had a 250cc shifter Kart with a 6 speed box that we used to take on Adams about 6 years ago. I am toio tall in the seat that my sides hurt like hell in the corners after a few lap. I could hit 118 on the back straight, Nick was 80lbs lighter than me and could top 125 down it. I would spin that damn kart every other lap coming down into the hard infeild left hairpin- very fustrationg but it would not brake for me and would cut loose violently.
ps- I once also ate the chain link fence going onto the back straight at about 40mph. I still have a scar from that one and a gouge in my old helmet.
Puerto Vallarta has a Kart track just north of the Airport down there I visited twice that rented TAG karts by the hour. That was a blast at about 75-80 mph but very humbling knowing if you screw up you are in Mexico.
