My Camaro got hit today...

My Camaro got hit today. I parked it in front of my house while I was working on Randy's. In hindsight it turns out I didn't need to move it out of the garage at all. When I went to put it back in the garage I see a nice big black rub mark on the entire drivers side front corner! It will likely rub out. I have no idea who or when it happened. But it wasn't on there when I parked it. Lon

Ack Im sorry Lon, someone did that to my car too.. except they actually scraped pant OFF my nose. If I hadn't parked backwards they probably wouldn't have hit me. I know it was some girl backing her toyota out beside me... I always get scared when women back out of spaces and almost hit everything around them.

Has it come out Lon , that's is %$@#ed up! I had a similar situation when my red car was running. I would park it on the street of my ex-coworkers house (we commuted to Edwards AFB) while I went to work. Well at 10am at work I received a call from his wife, my car got hit and she saw it all. The driver didn't even stop, just left. She called the cops and they filed out a report and called me at work. Apperantly a neighbor, four houses down, was argueing with her kids in her Sentra and nailed the rear of my Z28 , luckily it was at 25 mph. The cops said my car wasn't really damaged, but hers was barely driveable. When I got back to my car (after work), it just had some black rub stain (came off easily) and a minor, but deep scratch.

I posted this on another site and got back a response "It sounds like a tire rub mark...". This morning I woke up recalling how this happened. Saturday at the track we all headed out of the pits for our last run. I pulled forward, but couldn't see if it was clear in front of me or not. I hit a pair of tires sitting in the pits with my front end. I don't know why I hadn't noticed it before yesterday. But I feel a lot better now. Knowing it was self-inflicted makes it all the better. As I said before I don't think there is any permanent damage. But the other corner of the nose is in need or repair still so no biggie. Boy do I feel dumb, but the mystery is solved! Lon
