Has anyone installed coilover struts & shocks
Has anyone installed or had custom made coilovers on a 3rd gen camaro. I'd like to go with an application that is intended for a camaro rather than just buying a set of lets say Koni's and trying to bolt them on the rear. Struts Im pretty certain would have to be custom made. Anybody try this?

I can't seem to get any accurate info on Afco products from Hawks or PARacing. There info is vague and I have emailed both with no further help. I dont think they even know what they're selling. Hawks replied there coilover kit for the rear is actually for the front but didn't indulge me as to what strut it will or will not fit. Has anyone actually installed a coilover suspension in their 3rd gen? If so, could you share the combination or brands you've engineered. Thank you for any imput.

I have never heard of rear coilover shocks, only front. I did see them listed on Hawks Thirdgen parts though. I'm sure someone will come in here who has them, just be patient

Everyone, I finally got some info. I talked to PARacing on the phone, they told me their Afco coilover kit will fit most 82-92 camaro front struts (stock or aftermarket, I'm going with Koni Sport Struts). You can choose different spring rates and can dial the height of the car up or down. So for those of you that don't know about coilvers, if your grounding out, use either a higher lb. spring, or dial up the ride height, or both.
They offer an Afco rear double adj. coilover with top stud mount that will bolt right in for aprox. $800 a pair. same height and spring adjustments as front apply. You may however have to use a small spacer on the bottom mount between the shock and the mount.
Ill let everyone know how it works when finished and tuned.
