Streetable Autocross/Solo 1 setup
I would like some help building a streetable race setup for my 88 WS6. What shocks would be best? What about everything else???Thanks!
1. Use the search engine
2. Obtain the rulebooks for the clubs you will join
3. Provide some guidlines for the question
- budget
- condition of your current setup
- classes you wish to participate in
Otherwise you will get answers like
"see my sig it f*** it handles great man"

You're best investment for autocross is autocross tires. Go to the track next time and you will notice that most stock suspension cars with autocross tires will beat a mildly modified suspension car on street tires. Then I would suggest a set of Koni Sport shocks/struts. Have fun.
P.s. Don't drive those tires on the street fulltime, they will wearout fast.

AUtocross tires would be a good first step. However, mushy shocks (like the stock ones) won't permit full use of them. I currently have the Koni Yellows (single adjustables) on my 88 IROC with serves the dual purpose as my autocross car and street car. It also currently has Pep Boy Ultra-Z tires. Tire Rack had a sale on Yokohama AVS Intermediates for $77 last Sunday so I have a set of four in my garage waiting to be mounted (gotta kill the Pep Boys first).
The Konis are very uncomfortable on the street.
Do a search for my name in the search tool (Aftermarket Products, I think) and you'll see a description of my experience with these shocks.
Excellent on the track and at autocross. Barely tolerable on the street.
