Panhard Brace
Not 2 long ago i found out that my panhard bar and brace where both bent. I wrote Spohn Performance about their panhard bar and if they made a Brace to go with it. The answer i got back was that the brace did little or nothing and that i should just get another OEM one. Now if it does little or nothing why is it there?
Its stamped steel like the panhard bar and the brace hooks up to the bar itself if i member correctly so wouldn't repacing it with one made like the performance panhard bars help the panhard bar itself work better? Maybe im wrong or somthing but it doesn't add up to me. Has anyone made their own brace? Did you see any improvement from it? Any ideas on this would be helpfull...thanks

Dont know about the brace but just replaced the panrod on our 92 RS.The rearend felt loose.I would think the OEM brace would work fine if you need it.Too many doughnuts caused my panrod to expire before its time I think.

if u just want a stock replacement, SLP sells the OEM take offs for 15 bucks, or you can get the 1LE take off with the harder durometer rubber bushings for 40

Since no one makes an aftermarket brace yet, I've thought about having mine boxed. I agree with Wolfpack there, it's stamped like the P/H rod and I think it would flex just the same.
On 2nd thought, I did see one that someone posted @ 6 months ago, maybe a piece made by Global West or someone like that. It was blue and tubular. Anybody have an idea?

Well i would like to find a performance brace as im goin to a full spohn rear suspension setup soon i hope. Might as well get rid of all the factory stuff...thats why i was asking. And i would think that addin a performance panhard bar would make the brace flex worse than it does now...sense the bar no longer flex..all that force has got to go somewhere......keep me informed on the boxed setup there Ed and lemme know if you see any improvement...Wolfpack
