F-body LS1 brakes (again)
I did a search and found little about this on third-gens. After I wrecked my fourth-gen LT1 car, I had a complete LS1 brake setup sitting in storage for the past 8 months. But searching for some other info, I stumbled upon some threads but none were completed projects (most were 2001 dated posts).... Is this possible now? I'd love to make use of those brakes, as I have 16" wheels now.

From what I've gathered from reading [and not brake experience], the rear brakes from your 4th gen should bolt right up to the brackets on your thirdgen. I assume you are switching from 3rd gen drum to 4th gen rotor? If so, then you'll need to do something with your e-brake line and the prop valve (but what exactly that entails, I don't know; but I do know it does not sound like that big of a deal).
The fronts will not bolt right up because of different spindles. But, someone had the great idea to machine down the present 3rd gen front rotor and use it as a hub to attach the 4th gen rotor too. I don't know if any additional fabrication to the 3rd gen spindles is neccessary, but I think maybe there is.
I'm not sure if anyone has done this to the fronts. I am wondering if instead of modifying the 3rd gen spindle, why not modify the 4th gen spindle to fit?
Anyway, thats all I know.

Actually it was the front brakes that i have, not the rears. I read something about using a "Baer brake" adapter plate for the caliper, and machining the rotor off the hub, but never read anything else about that. ALso read about a guy who was modifying an LS1 spindle for a strut mount, but again never read anything else about that.
Any other ideas? I like the idea of the adapter plate, since I'm actually missing a spindle. But adapted spindles mean that 4-wheel ABS *could* be installed.
