Will the S&W race cars subframe connector fit with a 4 inch mufflex exhaust system???
Hey guys, I am going to be running a 4 inch Mufflex exhaust system. I will also be using their 4 inch Y pipe(2 3 inch pipes merging into a 4 inch outlet designed to be used with Hooker super competition long tube headers) as well. I also had my heart set on using the S&W race cars subframe connectors(bolt in style that I would have welded in). After reading a post by a member, I am not so sure that this will all fit. Is anyone running this setup currently? I do not want to hack up a $650 exhaust system to get everything to fit. Or would I just be better with a perimeter style subframe connector? Any info/suggestions/opinions are welcome on this issue. Thanks, Paul Moore

I have seen the S&W set up a few times (it is a very nice product), and my gut tells me that it isn't going to work because of the crossmember. I am assuming you are going to use the S&W torque arm as well? If you were just using the connectors without the center piece and the arm it might be ok. Of course I haven't seen the set up with anything but open headers (stockers), so I can't say for sure. I just wouldn't count on it.

I don't have my camera right now otherwise I could take one with better respect to exhaust positioning.
I don't know anything about the Mufflex exhaust. If it follows the same centerline as mine it "ought" to fit.
