Moog and Monroe
my front end bounces. its time to replace the springs and shocks
I think ill get the Moog springs and Monroe Sensa tracks (I don't like the things I hear about KYB)
does this sound like a decent spring/shock combo?

Monroe will be fine if you want STOCK ride, if you want anything performance wise, go for Bilstiens, Koni's or tokiko(or however the hell they spell it). KYB's fall into the same catagory as Monroe, STOCK ride. I love my Prokit/bilstien Combo.

Car: projects.......
the KYB's are stiffer than Monroe's, but not by a lot. The monroe's are built for factory spec, that's what they're designed for. - Moog springs/bushings/linkage/etc.... are good though. The springs are gonna be factory spec, but you can easily go with the WS6 stuff...

right the KYB's are stiffer, but they are not stiff enough to take them out of the stock ride catagory.

eh, the Sensa-Trac's are fine, as are the Reflex, just don't get cheap and buy the Gas-matic's. otherwise i'd have no problem putting Monroe's on a car i just needed Factory ride.

thanks for the feed back,
the springs and struts are being put on all 4 corners. I'm also having some energy suspension polyrothene bushings and a wonder bar put in. The same shop is also going to pop in one of those nifty lil "Posi units" i hear so much about on here.

I put sensa-tracs on the front and kybs on the rear of my Iroc, it was a ton of improvement over the leaky ones on there. I just didn't have the money to go all out. You should also do the front strut mounts they made a world of difference too.

Hmm
So are you speaking of the sensatrac's or the the reflex's. Cuz the reflex's should be more stiff than the KYB's.

I put the moog 5665/5662's along with the kyb's on my car about a year ago. The springs are great, the struts were okay for a short while but are now not up to the task of controling the front springs. The shocks still seem to be okay. I would bite the bullet and get some koni yellows for the front, I wish I had when I did it all the first time.

IMO I think that KYB's feel much stiffer than Monroe. I know KYB is not close to Koni or Bilstein...but I think for the money they are much better than Monroe.
