Would a 17x8 with 0mm BS fit on the front with a 245/45/17
and a 17x9 with 0mm or 45mm BS on the back with a 275/40/17
all input is appreciated

I have a set of 0 offset 17 x 8 wheels. in the front I added a 3/8" wheel spacer so that the tires were out the same front and back. Having the wider wheels out back would leave everyuthing looking good. Factory fronts were 0 offset in front.

Backspacing is usually measured in inches, offset usually measured in mm. Both specs would depend on the width of the wheel. Wheel manufacturers have told me backspacing is the most important spec to determine fitment, offset specs are usually for fine tuning for perfect fitment or brake clearance. There is usually no end all be all spec for a given fitment, instead there is a range of specs that will fit and whatever spec you choose along that range will determine the fitment in regards to being flush with the fender. Thats why its important to really research this, and if possible, do your own measurements. If you don't wanna go through all that, next best bet is to copy someone elses specs, but be sure to ask for pics so you ensure its the look you want.

I am running the same size tires. My rims are TT2's 17x8 with 4.5" back space in front. 17x9.5 with 5.5 back spacing on the rear. No rubbing problems.

If I were to use 17x9.5s in the front, would I need 5.5" back spacing the front too? Would I still need the 2" spacers?
I found some black chrome ZR1s on eBay (17x9.5s) and they have 7.4" back spacing on them... is that too much?
