Ive read a few posts about people who have these mounts and after alignment they hit the hood. I got mine pretty close to aligned so i can get it to the shop. However with the hood closed they are hitting and causeing the hood to bow up on the sides. Those of you whove had a problem with them hitting, what have you done to fix this?

Ya, 91_5.7_TPI told me he had to notch part of his hood because they hit maybe he will come in and shed some more light about them. He also has an SS hood on his car.

If I have to notch my hood for these things then Im gonna sell em and go with something different. Thats dumb, theyre only made for our cars and they dont fit. Ill be contacting the manufacturer

I just bought a set for my iroc . The j&m plates have a new style , the old ones had to be shimed under the plate ,and left a gap between the strut tower and plate ,rasing it up in the way of the hood. The new ones are verry simular to stock plates . I have no issues with them and they are worth the money .

I contacted them and they agreed to swap out my old style with their new design. The new ones look like a far better design than the old one were. They did a great job of standing behind their product when I had a problem.
