New rear shocks, still bad ride, Help

As noted, Ive replaced rear shocks with Monroe sensatrac and it still feels like the rear has no cusion on most bumps...Could I have bad (original 130k ) rear springs??? Could I have indexed them wrong when i replaced my gas tank. Bone stock 91 rs, front suspension all new.
Thx, any thoughts appreciated !!

Sensatracs are gas charged and will probably be stiffer that OE. Shocks are only designed to control the spring bounce. Springs when weakened will not keep the normal stance of the car and will be blatently obvious. If you are not happy with the ride try a non-gas charged shock, that might help.

Keep in mind third-gens are not built for comfortable rides, if you go to non-gas shocks you will sacrifice handling and control.
That being said do you want a car that handles what you can give it even though it has a harsh ride or give up controlability for a smoother ride.

Update if anyone cares...I scarfed a pair of rear springs off 96 camero in my local jy and it made a HUGE difference. I cant believe how it smoothed out the ride.
