Need help removing wheel from Skulte spacer. (stud spins freely)
As I was swapping my street wheels with my race wheels today, one of the studs on my front spacer spun loose.
I think this was due to a messed up (or cross threaded) lug nut when I swapped my wheels last month.
Now, the lug is stuck on the stud and the stud spins freely in the spacer and I only have about 1/8th of an inch of clearance between the wheel and the spacer, so I need some ideas on how to get lug/stud off.
the wheels currently on the car are my 17x9.5 ZR1's.
thanks for any insight/advice you may have.

Any chance of getting a prybar behind the lug and pry at it while using an air gun to remove it?

I've got a small pry bar, I'll give that a shot and see if it can work.
thanks

Good luck man... if that lug is truely crossed on the threads, its going to be fun removing. You might end up having to butcher the lug nut to get it off. I recently had to do this on a buddy's jeep. Ended up taking the dremel with a cutoff wheel and making slices until I could split it with a hammer and chiesel.
But...if its not on there too bad, pulling it tight with a pry bar is a good start.
Good luck!
Justin

You may try drilling out the stud with a cobalt bit until you drill out enough to cut the threads of the nut out too. This would probably be a last resort but probably a little safer for keeping the wheel nice and undamaged. Wont be an easy job any way you try it.
