performance handling
My 92 has over 200k miles now and has a hard street use alignment on it. I was thinking of getting the tubular k-member along with the usual goodies to help it perform better. What are your thoughts on this product? the car will be mostly street driven and will very rarely see the track. I am looking to give those pesky bikes a good run for their money.

Re: performance handling
Tubular K-members are more about weight savings and more room in the engine bay than handling. What does the car have on it now? You might be better off replacing worn bushings and getting a nice set of shocks and subframe connectors.

Re: performance handling
Right now she is dead stock. I plan on adding poly bushings, sub frame connectors, good struts, wonder bar, strut tower brace, and tubular a-arms. I was thinking the K-member would be a drag only item, but have heard of a few on the road.

Re: performance handling
You're on the right track with the struts/shocks. You need to spend as much as you can afford to on them. Replace the strut mounts while you are in there. I reccomend going with Spohn or HotPart. Good tires are also a must. Then decide on what springs and then sway bars you want. May have to play with the swaybars to find what you like.
Poly bushings in the rear LCAs isn't them best idea for handling. It causes the LCAs to bind in hard corning...pretty interesting experience. The tubular a-arms are nice, but the bang for buck value isn't really there. SFCs and Wonder Bar are great for stiffening the uni-body and allowing the suspension to function properly.
But the first thing you need to do is replace all the bushings and steering linkages in the car, then get some high performance brake pads.

Re: performance handling
Cool, I appreciate all the help. I bought the car with the rear shocks out and unknown age on the front struts. I got it from the original owner, who stored the car alot.
