My car needs some serious help launching straight. I just about end up in the passenger seat.
Its finally starting to hook on the street, hasn't been to the track since last year. I'm hoping that if I can get it to launch good on the road, that it will do good at the track.
I mounted some 10.5W tires, barely fit with lots of cutting and smashing. I finally removed the front sway bar and wonderbar, and installed lakewood drag shocks. A whole new car.
I have an 8 pt cage and sub frame connectors. BUT I DID HAVE THE DRIVER'S SIDE BAR OUT. I also have lcarbs and on the lowest setting, I think its too aggressive, pushing the car too hard upward, and unloading the tires.
Anyhow, I'm working on putting the stock rear sway bar back in and am looking for a single rear bag. Times are tough right now so I really shouldn't afford to do what is right, a real anti-roll bar. The car may also get turned more streetable this winter. (No blower and a T56)
Will the stock wuss sway bar even help? Along with an airbag, I would think it would make a huge difference. I'm actually scared to take it to the track the way it is now.

You definitely need at least the stock bar in the rear. If you wan to get serious we have an extreme anti roll bar that will stop all of the body roll. If thats not what your looking for we also have a 22mm rear bar that is a huge improvement over the stock 19mm rear bar. The 22mm bar comes complete with endlinks and bushings. If you have any questions please give me a call.
Thats a fine looking bar. I've been told I really should have a full drag/antiroll bar with how hard it launches, but I want it to still be able to handle on the road. I love the car too much to be straight line only. If the car still doesn't leave reasonably straight, I will look you up. Thanks for the responses.
