Aluminum Drum brakes

have any of you guys seen or have aluminum drum brakes. are they standard equipment.

Transmission: W/C T-5
Axle/Gears: 9 BOLT 3.45 POSI
I use to have them, they are lighter and look better then the other ones.I switched to disc now and I have the aluminum drums in my garage.

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
I got some aluminum ones from a junk yard. Many years had them and they are a direct fit for the stock irons. They are about an 1/8" thinker at the mounting flanges and weigh 5 pounds a peice less then irons.

they came standard on my 84 L69 with the 3.73 rear

Merf, don't say that...

When I was searching for a 3.73 rear axle, I found an old v6 that had aluminum drums. I knew aluminum drums were an option, but I didn't know they came with 3.73 rears! Crap!! That car is long gone, too.
