Hi.
í´ve want to get rid of the steering gearbox and go with a power steering rack instead and find this:
http://www.flamingriver.com/index.ph.../s0005/FR40022
what do you think about that? the camaro has 6" travel lenght if i´m not wrong. and this has over 6".

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a kit designed for a third gen from a vendor such as Spohn. That way you know it will fit and work properly. A steering rack isn't a simple bolt on. I'm not even sure if the mounting brackets can be easily welded to the stock k-member. It's much easier to do with a tubular k-member.
