Bilstein rear shocks?

Just had a busy weekend rebuilding the front end, replaced sway bar D bushes and link rod bushes, replaced the lower control arm bushes and ball joints (all Moog parts). Replaced the engine mounts while I had the lower arms out ( cant believe the design of that?? Has anyone done engine mounts without dropping the lower arms to get to the nuts? Crazy) anyways I replaced the all the steering tie rods and centre link with more Moog parts. Replaced top strut mounts. Replaced front struts with Bilstein 35-125228.

So next on my list is the rear end, I have all the bits I need except for bilstein shocks. I've been getting all my parts through summit, problem is they list a couple of rears with different part numbers, two are for 1" lowered 24-225397 & 24-010214 and the other one is for stock height 24-192934HD The pics in the description don't do anyone justice as they say it may not represent the actual part.

The bilstein catalog has listed the 24-010214 as stock replacements and 24-011211 as the HD replacement

I'm keeping mine stock height and have a retarded drum brake rear end. My best guess is go for the 24-010214. And take it that summit have a typo on their listing for them or that they fit both stock and 1" lowered.

So basically who is running bilsteins in the rear and what part number are they?

Cheers for any help

Re: Bilstein rear shocks?

Just put in new 35-125228 bilstein front struts

Trying to match a pair for the rear

Running stock springs
BZW up front
Haven't checked the rears yet but they should be NNL

Cheers

That's exactly why I asked- let me research and see what I come up with on those fronts if they are the HD or the standard. you do not want to overpowerr the nose of the car with stiffer rear setup. You will develop a slight porpuse of the nose of the car. you always want the rear slightly softer than the front of the car.

Edit- DUH, I somehow missed reading that in your first post, Sorry. GIve me a minute of two

Re: Bilstein rear shocks?

You want the 1121 suffix. Its the HD replacement that equals your front strut.
