Tie Rod Rubs on Rim
I have a '91 Trans Am, I just put in new Eibach lowering springs (Pro kit, 1" lower) and new strut mount and struts. Now the tie rod rubs against the wheel pretty bad, it doesn't touch when the car is in the air but once the suspension compresses and it under its own weight the tie rod is right against the rim. They are stock rims, any ideas what to do other than spacers/new rims? And if not what do I get spacer/rims wise?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Tie Rod Rubs on Rim
The front and rear wheels are specific, you have the fronts on the rear and the rears on the front

Re: Tie Rod Rubs on Rim
You can get a set of the factory aluminum drum rear end spacers to put on the front of your car, then the rear wheels will clear the tie rod ends just fine. And the wheels will look much better/like they are fitting correctly.

Re: Tie Rod Rubs on Rim
Alright thanks, I ended up putting 5/16" spacers on the front and it fixed all my problems, I didn't realize the rims where different, I will have to double check that tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys!
