Initial start up problem!
I've got a start up problem, when I first start up the motor fires and then wants to die, which it does. I can restart it maybe 4-6 times and then it might stay running or I can hold the petal down and get it up to about 2500 rpm (running like **** ) for about 10 sec. and it will clear up and run fine! any ideas? I've put new fuel filter on, no help, Might it be bad injector or connection ? I'm baffled!!!! seems to happen more after warm up than when cold.88 formula L03, TBI, 700-R4 4-deg. init. adv. 3" cat back otherwise stock 137000 mi. thanks!

Yep! I'm so dumb sometimes. I've had a code 32 for a long time, but it didn't effect it much. But now I've got a 54.

Well your code 32 has to do with egr more than likely-not a major killer in performance, however, it is robbing you of potential power and gas milage. However, your code 54 is what is causing the problems. Per tech data located at https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/faq/thirdgen.shtml ,
"54. Low voltage at fuel pump OR
Low voltage at Fuel pump relay OR
Output failure at quad driver module"
It would definetely explain a lot, though troubleshooting the problem should be a lot of fun. I would start at the relay, and if that is not the problem, move on to the wireing going to the pump. More than likely, it is a short seeing as it only does it at start up and what not. Hope this helps and good luck,
Roy
