Driveshaft from s-10 fit on my RS?

A few months ago my dad got his company truck, a 96' S-10 with 4.3 vortech. Those trucks are pretty fast and I was just cheking it out under the hood then I came to look under the truck and saw that the drive shaft was not rusted and looked like aluminum
My dad said if it was that we could just swap it out
I was just wondering if they did come out aluminum and if they did will it fit in my 91 RS?

To see if it's aluminum or not, see if a magnet will stick to it. If not it's aluminum. Before you go and pull the driveshafts out to try and switch them, get a tape measure and measure them. If they are the same length, the next step if to pull the saft out of the end of the trans and count the splines to see if they match. If everything looks like a match, give it a try. Pulling the driveshaft is a very simple job, so even if it didn't fit you wouldn't have wasted too much time...

Z,

Isn't there a midship bearing on the S-10 driveshaft?

Short box s-10/2-15 pickups and s-10 blazer/s-15 jimmy(4 door and 2 door) all have a single driveshaft. I really, really doubt it is the correct length however.

------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...
