Need help with Fuel Pressure
I put a adjustable fuel pressure regulator on my 305 TBI and I need some help on how far it needs to be adjusted. My engine is not stock. Full exhaust, cam, cold air/ram air, better heads....
What is a good way to tell at what pressure it should be set to?
Thanks,

this may be of help....http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/ben_...ctorsizing.xls
If you know the HP then you can calc what you need for fueling. If you dont know the HP then you need to fuel in excess of what you think it it may be. For instance I thought my engine was 250HP so I fueled for 300HP. I then tuned my .bin for closed loop fueling and the WOT worked out OK on dyno at 12.1/1 commanded to 12.5/1 in .bin.
A WB02 is a big help.

Re: Need help with Fuel Pressure
Thanks for the response Ronny. Is there a way that I can better adjust it using my laptop running winald? Is there a field that will show me if it's getting to little/much fuel?

Re: Need help with Fuel Pressure
winALDL gives you sensor data and BLM data. The BLM data will allow you to tune the VE tables to achieve a reasonable VE table. The VE tables are then used to "calculate" the PE(WOT) in addtion to other inputs it looks at . It will use the VE value and the last BLM and will calc the PE A/F. If the tune is on it should nail the PE. Mine did. winALDL will not adjust the .bin. just gives data. you adjust the VE tables. Most of use use Tunerpro to mod .bin.
Have you read the stickies? good info there.

Re: Need help with Fuel Pressure
Thanks again Ronny. I know I can't change anything with the program, I just wanted to know what to look for when I make changes to the pressure. I'm undecided to data log and send my chip into Turbo City to have them adjust it or purchase the EBL.

Turbocitys 46mm tb's are wery nice, in combination with EBL you would have some top equipment.
This should help you get started.
