Re: TB Spacer Question

Throttle body spacers are a waste of money. But an injector spacer might help a little. Still kind of a waste of money in my opinion. Buy some underdrive pulleys, or save up for headers or something else instead

Re: TB Spacer Question

Yeah, the spacer could allow for more air to flow through the TBI, but until you've done something to your motor to make it inhale harder and utilize this potential its not going to make a difference that you can feel

Re: TB Spacer Question

I would not do this modification unless you atleast do the ultimate TBI mods and you have done the most common bolt-ons.

Re: TB Spacer Question

Coming from REAL experience I say that they do give better, snappier throttle response with a good little bump in torque. They ARE NOT a direct bolt on and go affair. If you have the supporting mods then just get a cheap one for like 40 bucks. Every little bit helps.

Re: TB Spacer Question

Don't waste your money, IMO.
We played with one on a dyno with a built 4.3L. The motor was running a bored TB and 350 injectors. We tuned the chip to get the AFR's correct, and making the most power. Swapped on the TB spacer, and all it did was richen up the AFR's across the board and made less power. I can see how that might make the butt dyno happier on a non-tuned street car. However, we saw it as a waste of money and took it back off before the next pull.
