Fuel pressure unstable

I changed heads and intake a couple of weeks back and in trying to get it running smoothly it was giving me fits on light throttle and cruise. I tried to adjust the psi down and it wouldn't go below 12. It has ran smooth at times but mostly rough. Now this afternoon it ran great and after previously checking everything else that I could think of rechecked the fuel pressure and it was down to 10psi. WTF? But it ran the best that it has. WOT has been good for a while with no knock counts. Just light throttle and cruise.

What's up with the psi? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any help!!

No takers or am I missing something obivious here?

And if I could not turn the psi down would changing the spring to a weaker one let it go down?

When I was chasing a FP related problem on my 9c1 it runed out to be the fuel pump had/was going south. It just didn't have enough umph to keep the pressure stable.

Yeah I was kind of afraid it might be the pump.

Thanks and Merry Christmas
