Car hesitates at 2000 rpm
Here's the deal, just got done replacing the cam, intake, carb, and complete exhuast on my 85 Z w/ LG4. Anyway the stock distributer would keep advancing because my knock sensor is unhooked, so I replaced it with a vacuum advance Accel distributer. I've been trying different settings on my timing to get rid of the hesitation and spark knock, but to no avail. It runs decent up to 2 grand, then starts hesitating and sputtering. At 3 grand all is well--spark knock goes away and it runs great.
I should probably mention my cam is degreed 14 degrees ahead.
I'm at my wits end. PLEASE HELP!!!

you advanced your cam? I hope you didn't advance your distributor timing along with that...Might sound weird but also try to set distributor timing to zero, and better yet, then go into retarding it. See if that fixes it.
