same idea but different question

I know the idea has been asked about, but this is more of a detailed personal question.

I want feedback on what you would do. I am not looking for an agument post. Just your opinion of what YOU would do and why.

I can purchase a 9 bolt posi 3.23 disc brake axle for $300. I have not priced a 10 bolt. I know a 9 bolt is more expensive to rebuild. I would rather buy a 12 bolt and fit it into the car but I dont have the money. Would you buy the 9 bolt that has posi and disc brakes or would you buy a 10 bolt and probally have to buy a posi unit for it?

9 bolt, 3.23 gears, posi, disc brakes----> $300 (supposedly works fine)
10 bolt, ? gears (may have to buy), posi (probally have to buy), drum brakes----> $??? how much would you guess for total price? (I am assuming this route will cost more initially)

Even though the 10 bolt will probally be more expensive now, will it be more rewarding in the long run? Is there a difference on HP/TQ ratings? I am not very familiar with the 9 bolt so I cannot make a educated decision. what would you do?

Axle/Gears: 9" for the ladies
I blew up my 3.23 posi disc 10 bolt.
I still have my 3.27 posi disc 9 bolt.
Even found out it had a leak and was running without much or any fluid for who knows how long. Still works great.

if you get the chance take the rear covers off of both the rear ends and compare them visually, youll see the differance. the 9 bolt resembles a tractor trailer rear end and the 10 bolt looks like it belongs in a yugo.

9 bolt is stronger, cost more for parts, parts are limited
10 bolts are every where, parts are eveywhere, and in wide range of ratios

i have a 10 bolt with disk brakes and posi (3:42 i think) i'd sell but it's too big for ups and motor freight is unreal, have to be picked up to be reasonable.
