My New Battery Died Overnight
Hey Guys,
I am finishing up rewiring my car with a Painless Wiring harness. Yesterday when I finished working on the car for the night, I forgot to disconnect the battery, so I wake up today and the battery's totally dead.
The only circuit that's currently hooked up to the battery is the starting/charging circuit so I KNOW it's in there. Then I disconnected everything from the alternator, and with the ignition OFF, the alternator showed about 80 ohms of resistance. Is this normal with the car turned off, or does this mean the alternator's bad?
BTW The car isn't starting right now, so I can't do any tests which require the car to run.
Thanks,
-Max
