How to remove a speedo with a cable

I finally found out a way to do it. I had to take every panel off underneath and cut the zip tie that held the wires to the speedo cable under the dash. I their was finally some slack in the cable. The dash and left speaker had to come out to shine some light to see. I then stuck a screwdriver down the speaker hole to unclip the cable, and the gauges were free.

Now I need some more info on converting to an electric speedo.
Heres one site with some info.

I undo all the screws that hold the cluster in then undo the speedo cable below the brake servo in the engine bay. Pull the cluster forward and reach behind the cluster and press to release the clip that holds the cable.

And cut your wrist 26 times in the process. Needless to say, that's the way I do it too.

A young lady with small hands is best. Connecting back up is far harder from my experience.
