Radiator questions??
Okay fellas, I'm looking to replace my stock radiator with a BeCool one. If I get the "replacement" one it costs me $500'ish. If I get the "universal" one it costs me $270'ish. What's the difference? BeCool guarantees a 20 degree drop for the universal - so why would I pay for the expensive one?
Any comments?

are you sure its not strictly a radiator built for racing? if it is, its most likely very light weight, and for one reason or another(i cant think of any now) it may not be made for street use... i wouldnt spend over 250-300 on a top dollar radiator. either BeCool or Griffin make very nice aluminum radiators, and they run (from what ive seen) around 250 bucks. i would never spend 500 for the one, unless you have very serious heating problems, and have to run for extended amounts of time, which i doubt. where did you see them for sale? if it wasnt in summit(my favorite parts mag), then check out their prices (www.summitracing.com), their tech support is great, and they offer pretty good deals from what ive seen

i just needed a new rad. too, I looked at those and from what people told me, the $500 is a direct fit replacement i think, the other "universal" requires some fabrications. I heard you want the 19" X 31" if you get the universal.
