383 and t56
here is what i want to do.i am going to build a 383 with a 1 pc seal block.then run a t56 trans behind that.here r my questions:
1) should i get an internaly balanced kit or externaly balanced, which is better?
2)can i use the stock t56 fywheel?
3)is the stock 1pc seal block internaly or externaly balanced?
4)which balancer do i need 400 or a 350?
i plan on going with the eagle rotating assembly.any help would be appreciated.

a 1 piece seal block is externally balanced, as far as which is better internally or external balancing, neither really, the one piece seal blocks tend to have less rear main seal leaks though...

i would assume a 400 balancer since you'd be using a 400 crank.. not sure to tell ya the truth though.. not a clue on the flywheel question.. try a search im sure they've been asked before

What I did with mine is to get everything internally balanced and the flywheel that I have was balanced as well. The machinist removed the wheight that was on it to get it externally balanced from the company (MCLeod street twin).
And the balancer I used is a fluidamber for that application, bigger than the stock one for a 350.
