Dual Blowers On TPI

I've noticed that the blowers for TPI units, paxton & vortech - one mounts on the drivers side, one on the passenger side. What about using both ? And setting up a dual blower system ?

IROC,

I've never even seen photos of something like that, but it probably could be done. There would be a lot of extra heat under the hood from two compressors, and the plumbing would be a nightmare. The power needed to drive two compressors would probably require a different belt arrangement, and you would have a lot of boost pressure. If you routed the discharge of one to the intake of the other, boost pressure would be ridiculous and the discharge air would be very hot. With two compressors, there might not be enough space under the hood for intercoolers/aftercoolers, so I could envision some problems from that. Still, it would be a lot of boost and potential power if the engine was built to withstand the pressures.

i was thinking there was a mustang at cyber brawl last year that had 2 blowers, but i didn't take any pics so i',m not sure. i believe it was said he had over 20' of plumbing for it and the intercoolers. be a lot of reason not to do it as vader pointed out, but it's fun to over come all the little problems that come up when doing a project like that. jester is working on twin turbos for a SBC.
