whats the deal with this

I was checking out a few cams on comp cams website and I noticed they had this new line 4 & 7 swap cams for engines with a 18736542 firing order... whats the deal with this firing order? I assume it can be accomplished by simply changing your wire locations on the cap and running this cam but what is the benefit of it?

Yes you just have to change the wires. The 4 & 7 swap decreases crank deflection, and providesa a little better induction route. It produces +5-15hp ovr regular sbc firing order.

You have to change the cam AND the wire order.

Do a little shopping and find out.
Go to Comp's web site and get a few part numbers, then go to Summit or Jegs or whomever you like to check the prices.
