Intake Q. I wouldn't ask but...

I can't get the f------ search to work for me after nearly 15 differrent attemtps (including this morning, Firefox, Mozilla and IE6). It just stays on the 'Your search is in progress...' screen (even after clicking the link to march on).

On to the question though...

Due to (my) stupidity/clumbsiness last night I somewhat bashed (destroyed IMO) my #2 cyl runner tube.
Would it be of any benifit to my rinky-dink 305 (fairly mild would describe it's build I guess) to upgrade to a different intake ?
Or, is the TPI intake sufficient and just get some new runners, call it a day ?

Everything is off the top and front of the motor currently debating a cam swap since it's already this taken apart.

I'm sure it's been covered but... I'm screwed out of finding anything via search at the moment.

Thanks guys.

With a 305, I suggest new runners. I'd probably search the classified on this site, or fbody.com. They have the biggest F-Body selection around. As a last resort, try ebay. If all else fails, swap to an LT1 intake.

Thanks 89.

I also just realized the space between my ears is apparently empty as I have the 9th injector which would probably complicate an intake swap anyways (or moreso than I'm interested at the moment anywas). Didn't even cross my mind while trying to get a search to work or, asking this question... duh.
I think I'm going to go dye my hair blonde now.......

how bashed is it exactly? I had one that was smashed in about half an inch, it bent back quite easily with a little heat and part of a broom handle.

Let's just say that contact with the floor didn't do it alot of good and the weight of a fair sized persons foot did it even less good
I already tried finessing (sp?) it out last night only to have it stress to the point of getting a hairline crack in it (it's still fairly dented too) making it a loss in my book as looks count as well.

Guess I'll have to start saving my milk money again

Iv'e got some Accel runners I found in a junkyard. Don't look so good. Had to weld an ear on. Has worked fine on my car, though. Siamezed in about 2" IIRC. Currently on my car with some stripped intake bolts. If I can take it off without much damage, I was planning to sale them. It has the 9th injector hole (I quick steeled it). Email me if your interested and I'll let you know. I'd take a decent offer for them. Hell, even got a stock intake off same car that appears to have been ported a little. I'd throw that in as well.
