couple minor problems..please help
ok i have a couple problems...car hesitates for a couple seconds under WOT and bogs down and then it kicks in and i get a rush of power. When i bought my car i heard the cat kind of popping when it was running. The guy told me that he had put a new cat on it and that it was just working in. I bought the car in Augest and the popping stopped once it got colder. It is now popping again and im not quite sure why. Im 17 and dont know alot about cars. Later on i found out that the cat might be "clogged" and that was why it has been bogging some. I want to check other things before i gut the cat or get a new one. Also after buying the car and driving for a while the car stalled at a couple stop lights withought even sputtering but has never happend since and im not getting any codes. Maybe IAC???

First, a new cat converter really doesn't need to "work in". They come out of the box "fully worked" and ready to go. It's only downhill for them from that point onward. They might not be quite as effective at converting HCs to oxides until they have been warmed up once or twice, but none of that affects the operation of the engine, only the disposition of the smog police. Even at that, I doubt that any of them would complain about yo uinstalling a new cat on your car - mostly because they don't know any better.
Second, that popping you were hearing on acceleration is likely due to a lean fuel mixture. That same situation could be causing your current problems. I'd start by checking the fuel pressure and fuel pump output volume. If the pressure and minimum output flow is correct, and the pressure increases on a drop in manifold vacuum, the pump and pressure regulator are probably O.K.
