Question about engine miss....w/in
Im still working on my engine miss. I cant seem to nail the problem down. ONE thing remains the same...If Iremove the distributer and put it back in the car will run fine for a few days then go back to missing like crazy...All the connections check out OK. What Im wondering is if the pick up coil could be bad?? is there a way to check that. Or could an intermittent problem like this happen with a bad pu coil... Again I get no codes from this and even the diacom info checks out on it...
its a 350 supercharged tpi motor.

ALSO....after looking through the archives I saw there is a way to test them by measuring the ohms...I suppose that is just between the yellow and green wire???
The reason I ask is My yellow and green wire had this green stuff all over it...The connector was black like it had been arching because of the green corrosion...I cleaned it all off and put 2 layers of shrink tubing around the wires to keep the corosion away...I also put some dielectric grease on the ignition module...to keep it from corroding again....I also checked the ignition module and it checked out fine....So my pick up coil seems to be the next check...Any help on this would be appreciated as Im getting into territories Im not familiar with...I have a DVM with ohm's of resistance in it so I can check it.Just need to know how...
